FLOOD BARRIERS
Our range of flood barriers varies from a simple modular 'stop-log' flood barrier to automatic flood barriers that operate only when required. Flood protection heights up to 4m and unlimited lengths of flood defences are possible.
Automatic flood barriers can operate on fully automatic to self-raise with the rising flood waters, or be push button operated so that you can operate in advance of floods with full peace of mind, or manually operated as required.
We provide CAD or PDF drawings of all installations ensuring they fit in with your requirements and that they integrate correctly with the whole scheme design where required.
Flood Control offers four types of Flood Barrier: Demountable, Flip-Up, Drop-Down and Glass Barriers:
DEMOUNTABLE
Demountable Flood Barriers
Demountable Flood Barriers are engineered to provide similar levels of protection to permanent flood defences, but with the advantage of being fully removable when not required.
These flood barriers can be supplied for virtually any configuration and can be configured for flood protection heights of up to 4m.
GLASS
Glass Flood Barrier
Our Glass Flood Walls utilise high strength structural glass, engineered frames designed to withstand static and impact loads, structural anchoring system, and specially designed watertight and impact resisting sealing technology.
This flood defence solution requires no operational input and causes minimal visual intrusion where flood protection is required.
Flip-Up Flood Barriers
To provide unrestricted access to pedestrian and vehicle entrances, the automatic flip-up flood barrier is fully recessed in to the ground when not in use.
Activated by a push button, automatically triggered by sensors, or manually, this flood barrier rises up to flood defence heights of 2m as standard and up to lengths of 12m.
Drop-Down Flood Barriers
When not in use the drop-down flood barrier is unobtrusively located above the head of the opening, ready to be lowered at a moment’s notice.
Automatic sensors can operate the barrier with rising floodwaters, or push button operation keeping you in control, with manual override make this an efficient dependable flood defence.
