Welcome to Flood Control International

Flood Control International is a UK based specialist supplier and installer of the most comprehensive range of flood defence systems in the world. From our modular demountable flood barrier system to fully automatic flood barriers that rise up / drop down or slide in to position as required. Our flood-proof doors are also rated as security and fire doors and flood-proof to full height.

We ensure the right flood defence solution is designed in every instance and our unique engineering knowledge and 18 years’ experience guarantee flood protection that is innovative, efficient and above all else, dependable.

We work with architects and consultants all over the world and our clients include government agencies, utility companies, commercial businesses, retail chains and nuclear power stations.

Our range of flood barriers varies from a simple modular 'stop-log' flood barrier to automatic flood barriers that operate only when required. Flood heights up to 4m and unlimited lengths are possible.

Lightweight aluminium flood gates are available in widths up to 4.5m and our steel gates are designed to any size. All flood gates can be automatic and push-button operated if required.

Our secure flood doors are designed to protect against flood, fire and unauthorised entry.

Sliding watertight flood doors or bespoke heavy duty flood doors can be designed to almost any configuration - our largest to-date is 6.4m wide and 4.4m high.

DEFRA has just published the UK Climate Change Risk Assessment.

Key projections include:

  • Annual damage to properties due to flooding in the UK between £2.1 and £6.2 billion.
  • Between 23% and 30% of current electricity generating capacity with a significant likelihood of flooding.
  • Up to 19,000km of road and 3,100km of railway at significant likelihood of flooding.
  • Average annual cost to business up to £96 million.
